North-South Transportation Study Open House

Hosted by City of Richland Government

The community will have the opportunity to provide valuable input on work to increase mobility and reduce travel times both locally and regionally at a Wednesday, Oct. 16 public open house (anytime between 5-8 PM at the Red Lion Hotel, George Washington Way), and online beginning Oct. 14 at www.ci.richland.wa.us/northsouthtravelstudy.

The Cities of Richland and West Richland, Benton County, and the Washington State Department of Transportation (study sponsors) are working with consultant J-U-B ENGINEERS to study north-south transportation connectivity. The ultimate goal is to increase mobility and reduce travel times both locally and regionally. The study includes evaluating and comparing the potential benefits of capacity improvements, such as interchange or intersection improvements in at least three distinct corridors: State Route 240, George Washington Way and a new Kingsgate Way corridor.
