Summer Youth Bus Passes

 Ben Franklin Transit is selling summer youth passes for $25 which are good for unlimited boardings during June, July, and August. They are available to youth up to 18 years of age or through high school. New this year: Try the new River Runner! A seasonal route with hourly trips through Columbia Park from June through August. The Youth Passes are available online or at several grocery stores.  https://www.bft.org/summer

What is Go Green Tri-Cities?

Go Green Tri-Cities is a volunteer organization under the direction of the local non-profit, Sustainable Energy and Environmental Network. It's goal is to educate the public on local environmental issues and highlight green businesses, organizations, resources, and events in the Tri-Cities, WA. It is maintained by a group of like-minded volunteers and is supported by both financial and in-kind contributions made by businesses and organizations in our community.

 Let's talk about Reduce/Reuse/Recycle!

Reduce the amount of garbage you put out this month. Here are 10 ways to reduce waste!

Reuse: Repair, repurpose, trade, and/or buy with reuse in mind, and  BYOB (bring your own bag) when you shop. Donate used clothing to thrift stores, and buy used whenever possible. When remodeling considering purchasing from or donationating to the Habitat for Humanity ReStore, 309 Wellsian Way, Richland. Call 943-5555. They accept Items like furniture, appliances, cabinets, lighting, carpet, and building materials.
